CONCERT CANCELLATION DUE TO WEATHER ALARM 4!

CONCERT CANCELLATION DUE TO WEATHER ALARM 4!

ATTENTION PROGRAM CHANGE

We are still appalled and heartbroken by what happened last weekend and we stand by the community of Alta Vallemaggia that was hard hit by these tragic events. Vallemaggia is strong and all together we will make it! Given the great inconvenience, we have decided, with the Lavizzara Town Hall, that the traditional "Opening Night" on Friday, July 12 in Brontallo will be held in Giumaglio. The Magic Blues family with friends from Pro Brontallo and the Lavizzara Shooting Society will donate the proceeds of the evening to the "Bavona and Lavizzara - Let's Rebuild Together" fundraiser.

On stage we will have the talented guitarist and singer Ben Poole one of the most exciting rock, blues and soul artists from the UK in a long time. His musical style is original and can be described as an energetic blend of blues, rock and soul. Poole has been praised by Jeff Beck and Gary Moore! Back in 2010 Guitar World Magazine called him a guitarist to watch out for. The following year Poole was nominated in three categories for the British Blues Award. In 2012 Poole was voted "Best Newcomer of 2012" by Blues matters magazine! His first album Let's go upstairs! was self-produced that same year. Several albums followed, including Live at the Royal Albert Hall (2014), and in 2021 he released another live album, Acoustic Duo Live, in acoustic format and in collaboration with Dutch bluesman Guy Smeets. An evening that will not leave those in attendance indifferent.

Unfortunately, Andy Egert for health reasons had to cancel all summer dates and reluctantly will not be present. In his place will open the evening The Gamblers a great band from the near peninsula that over the past 20 years has accompanied such top artists as Jerry Portnoy (harmonica player for Muddy Waters and Eric Clapton), Otis Grand, Big Pete Pearson, Paul Reddick, Deitra Farr, Jumping Johnny Sansone, Sonny Rhodes, Keith Dunn, Kirk Fletcher, Steve Marriner and Tony D of Monkey Junk and many others throughout Europe.

Go Vallemaggia. We look forward to seeing you in great numbers!

Ben Poole

UK

Ben Poole is a British blues-rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter. His musical style is original and can be described as an energetic blend of blues, rock, and soul. Poole's musical ability has been praised by none other than Jeff Beck and Gary Moore! As early as the age of nine, Poole lived only to play the guitar. He thus learned Jimi Hendrix's Voodoo Chile. He then started performing regularly and was named the guitarist to watch in 2010 by Guitar World Magazine. The following year Poole was nominated in three categories for the British Blues Award. In 2012 Poole was chosen to represent the UK at the European Blues Challenge held in Berlin, where he finished third. In the same year, Poole was voted 'Best Newcomer of 2012' by Blues matters magazine!  His first album 'Let's go upstairs!' was self-produced in the same year. Several albums followed, including Live at the Royal Albert Hall (2014). Jeff Beck has said he loves Ben Poole's sound. In 2021 Poole released another live album, Acoustic Duo Live, in acoustic format and in collaboration with Dutch bluesman Guy Smeets.
