Recently, the official poster for Vallemaggia Magic Blues 2025, designed by Gabriele Zeller, was unveiled! Music is not the only artistic element that has developed within the festival: since 2004, each year an artist has been entrusted with the task of “designing” the festival by creating a poster that becomes a collectible art object. These posters, numbered and signed, are sold in limited editions, turning them into true works of art.

The original idea for this initiative came from Urs Huber Uri (1946-2021), a Zurich-based artist and close friend of Hannes, who, captivated by the festival, created the first 200 prints in 2004 to support the event. In the early years, various Ticino-based artists were featured, until 2008, when Pierre Casè (who passed away in 2022) not only designed the poster, but also shared his expertise in selecting subsequent artists. Thanks again, Pierre!

After Claudio Trapletti (2023), Roberto Grizzi (2022), Karl Frei (2021), Marco Milani (2020), and Carlo Berta (2019), just to name a few, this year the choice fell on Gabriele Zeller to create the official poster for the 2025 edition. Born and raised in Cavigliano, Zeller is now a resident of Maggia, where he has lived and worked for several years. His passion for drawing and painting led him to specialize in ornamental painting, exploring various aspects of this art form. Zeller primarily paints at night, a time he finds particularly inspiring. For him, painting is a personal expression, and although his works are often dark and at times melancholic, the process itself brings him serenity. He paints for passion, not seeking approval, but instead aiming to convey a genuine emotion through his art.

The poster (50 x 70 cm), in a limited edition, numbered, and signed by the artist, will be available from June onwards and can be purchased or ordered at the Vallemaggia Tourist Office at a special price of CHF 50.- (unsigned CHF 10.-). Additionally, for collectors, there is a special offer: "All Magic Blues Posters 2005-2025" (20 posters) for the special price of CHF 400.- instead of CHF 1,000.- (unsigned CHF 100.- instead of CHF 200.-).
